A wild Asian bull elephant moves through the landscape at dawn in Thailand's Kui Buri National Park. The park is part of Thailand's world heritage Western Forest Complex (WEFCOM), one of the largest networks of connected protected areas in Asia. Asian elephants are endangered with only approximately 4,000 remaining in the wild throughout their range. Habitat destruction and fragmentation, wild capture for the tourist industry and poaching for ivory have contributed to the rapid decline of wild populations over the past 100 years. Thailand, 2016.
