In January of 2018, the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) investigated Windrift for alleged mistreatment of animals and the company was ordered to provide insulated shelter, clean water, appropriate food and veterinary care to the dogs located at this facility in Moonstone.
