Rescued arctic fox siblings Lucky and Lulus play in an enclosure at a Polish wildlife rehabilitation centre. They were rescued from a Polish fox fur farm in Druzyn. Their rescue was part of an intervention undertaken by the animal advocacy organization Open Cages (Otwarte Klatki), and subsequently, the farm owner was imprisoned, and the farm closed. The farm had left the foxes unattended for several days, and animals were dying of thirst and hunger. Some of the stronger of the dozens of starving foxes were cannibalizing the weaker ones. Several foxes were saved from the farm and sent to various sanctuaries around Poland. Jelonki Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre, Elbag, Poland, 2020. Andrew Skowron / We Animals
